Chhattisgarh Naxals attacked a convoy, 10 dead

Raipur, Jul 20: At least ten people were feared dead after the naxals attacked a convoy of a Congress leader, Nanda Kishore in Chhattisgarh’s Mainpura on Wednesday, Jul 20.

The naxals blew up a bridge in Gariyabandh area of the state. However, the Congress leader had safely reached Myanpur police station.

Sources also reported that the militants fired on a passenger vehicle which was bruised over the blast.

Nanda Kishore with other Congress leaders went to the village to attend a party function and had been provided a police escort and a road-opening party as the area is Naxal infested.
