Many families in India are live fake lives, claiming to be Scheduled Castes and Tribes for reservations; but claiming to be Upper castes for Marital and other social occasions.

Such duplicity of social status is criminal in intent and fraudulent. We need more whistle-blowers to expose such frauds.

An entire family has thrived on giving fake certificates to get better jobs and better careers in government. Here is a case of a Commercial Taxes Department employee changing his caste from OBC to Scheduled Tribe to obtain all the benefits under the law. His wife and two daughters too followed the same example until they finally got caught.
Unscrupulous types who produce fake caste certificates to land a government job hit the headlines every so often. But have you heard of an entire family engaged in this fraudulent activity and enjoying its ill-gotten benefits for years together?
