Obsessed Women threaten teenage boy with fake rape case

BAREILLY: A 35-year-old divorced woman has allegedly threatened to frame the entire family of an undergraduate student in a rape case if he doesn’t agree to marry her.

The youth, a resident of Pilibhit, is a student of BA second year at a local college. He is staying in the city with his maternal uncle.

According to reports, the woman, residing in the same colony, became obsessed with him and demanded to be married to him.

The boy’s uncle has approached the DIG, who in turn as asked the circle officer to conduct an inquiry into the matter. In his complaint to senior police officials, including the deputy inspector general (Range), said that his nephew had come from Bareilly to pursue higher studies a few months back. He said that the boy also helped share his workload at his shop.

“A woman residing in the same locality, who had taken divorce from her husband, came to our house one day. She expressed her desire to marry my nephew, which we politely refused as she is much older than the boy and any such alliance cannot materialize under such conditions,” the uncle said. This angered the woman, who started threatening the family stating that she will book them all in a false rape case, if they don’t allow the alliance. “From then on, it became an unending ordeal for the family as the woman kept threatening us and the boy’s parents on phone,” the uncle said.

Talking to media, deputy inspector general range, RKS Rathor said, “The matter was brought to my notice few days back and I have referred the investigations to concerned officials for necessary action.”
