Supari killing: Woman arrested
Bangalore : The J P Nagar police arrested the prime accused Prabhavathi (30) and her paramour Beeresh (30) and a few others They killed Vasu (38), a realtor and a resident of Basaveshwarnagar in Kanakapura. A decade ago, Prabhavathi was married to Vasu and the couple has three children.
Vasu also owned ‘Okay Men’s Ware’ a salon in J P Nagar 9th phase. Vasu was missing since August 17. Meanwhile, Prabhavathi lodged a missing complaint. She had stated in her complaint that her husband went outside to complete a land deal and failed to turn up.
Prabhavathi has an illicit relationship with Beeresh, a son of Kanakapura taluk panchayat president. Vasu took Prabhavathi to task when he learnt about it. He directed her not to speak to Beeresh. An irked Prabhavathi decided to eliminate her husband and gave Rs 5 lakh supari for killing Vasu.
The accused took Vasu in a car on the pretext of buying a land and strangled him. They took the body to abandon at Gaganachukki Bharachukki, but failed in their plan as there was a heavy rush of tourists. Then they went to Shimsha river and abandoned the body. The police collected calls made and received by Vasu and zeroed in on the accused.
