PM should resign, Advani demands fresh elections

New Delhi, Aug 22: BJP leader LK Advani on Sunday, Aug 21 slammed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for failing to control inflation. He also said that Singh should quit and hold fresh elections, as the Congress-led UPA govt has lost confidence of the people. Taking on the government, he alleged that the ruling alliance is steeped in corruption.

“This government is totally corrupt. The Prime Minister has a great reputation of being an economist. But the common man is shocked to find that ever since this government has come to power, prices have been going up and up,” he said.

He also added that the corrupt politicians like former Telecom Minister A Raja, DMK MP Kanimozhi and Congress MP Suresh Kalmadi were sent behind the bars because of the CAG report and judiciary action, not because of UPA government.
