Allegations put forward by popular Malayalam film actress Kavya Madhavan who filed divorce petitions last day are all baseless, said her husband Nishal Chandran in Kuwait.
Actress Kavya Madhavan got married to Nishal Chandran, who is working as Technical Advisor at National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) on February last year and decided to call it a day from the film industry at the height of her popularity. Last day she filed the divorce petition with the Ernakulum Family court while another one in the Ernakulum First Class Magistrate Court against her husband and in-laws under the Domestic Violence Act for causing mental stress. Earlier Kavya Madhavan’s divorce news came as a shock to her fans worldwide after being married for just 4 months.
Nishal Chandra explained that all allegations made to the media about him are wrong and baseless. “We are a family of professionals who are settled abroad for more than 35 years and are comfortably off and no need to appropriate anything to live our life. We have not taken or need to take any valuables or gold from Kavya’s side” said Nishal Chandran.
She and her family are planting baseless rumours to intentionally create a bad image for us in public. I am a staff of reputed bank in Kuwait for the last 3 and half years and still employed there. Her claims that I am unemployed are totally baseless. Her allegations about my brother also are wrong. My brother is well settled with his wife in Qatar, Nishal said.
She was provided with all freedoms in Kuwait. She was taken to all places of interest in Kuwait by me and my family as possible.
After 3 months of our marriage she went back to Kerala to continue the pending shooting for the film “Pattanathil Bhootham“. I believe that 14 days of shooting in Kerala changed her mind as she came back to Kuwait as a different person. Allegations of racial abuse made by her are very cheap. We do not believe in racial bias in this age and day. What she is saying now is a fabricated story to create basis for her case, Nishal added.
Till now our family was silent and chose not to speak to public press respecting the feelings and the fact that she is a lady, and believing in the sanctity of a marriage as an institution, he said.
“A legal notice is sent to the actress to withdraw the allegations made to malign my image. We will take all legal steps to find out the truth behind her false claims” said Nishal.
Kavya Early this year, she starred in her comeback film “Pappi Appacha” along with Dileep and she has two more films in the final production stages.
Born in Nileshwaram in Kasaragod district, the actress entered the Malayalam film industry as a child artist with “Pookkalam Varavayi” (1991). Her popular films include “Meesha Madhavan”, “Maadambhi”, “Classmates” and “Ananthabhadram”, among others.
