Bangalore, Jul 24: Once again the main opposition party Bharatiya Janata Party faced the political turmoil over Karnataka Chief Minister and party leader BS Yeddyurappa. Now, the leaders of the party have come up with different opinions on Yeddyurappa’s fate.
While some leaders show confidence on the CM, the rest of the party demanded his (Yeddyurappa’s resignation). Vice-president of the party, Shanta Kumar sent a letter to BJP president, Nitin Gadkari and senior party leader, LK Advani demanding BSY’s removal.
Kumar claimed that the simultaneous allegations against the Karnataka CM bruised the party’s image nationwide.
BSY, who has always been in news but for the wrong reasons, revealed that he was on a holiday with his family in Mauritius.
The CM landed in the fresh controversy when the Lokayukta Santosh Hegde indicted him (BSY) in the multi-crore mining scam in the state. However, Yeddyurappa refuted charges adding that he never granted licences to illegal mining.
