Man kills wife over chappatis in Navsari

NAVSARI: In a fit of rage after a fight over food, a man bludgeoned to death his wife in Aasanna village of Navsari on Monday night.
Investigating police inspector J V Mali said, “Khalap Halpati, staying at Halpativaas, told his wife Meena that she had made thick chappatis. Meena retorted and the altercation took a violent turn, with Halpati also accusing her of an illicit relationship. Halpati later beat her to death with an iron rod. Their daughter Laxmi filed a complaint against her father.”
