The girl’s uncle, Babu, received several calls from her teacher. The woman said the girl was with her in her house in Hosur and will be released immediately if he agreed to marry her*
A missing case took a strange twist after it turned out to be a kidnap for love by a woman. A teacher planned the kidnap drama to force her lover to marry her after he dilly-dallied over the issue for long.
According to police, Roopa, a nine-year-old girl (name changed), a resident of HSR Layout, went missing from her house on Saturday. She did not return from her school which is located very close to her house.
After a thorough search, her parents lodged a missing complaint with the Madiwala police the same day. The incident took a dramatic turn when Roopa’s uncle, Babu, received several calls from Roopa’s school teacher.
“The woman said Roopa was with her in her house in Hosur and will be released immediately if he agreed to marry her,” a source close to the family said.
Later, when the family reached the house, they dis covered that Roopa’s teacher Jyothi and Babu were in a relationship and the latter had been delaying their marriage.
An upset Jyothi then hatched a kidnap drama so that she could force Babu to marry him.
But, after Babu promised Jyothi that he will marry her as early possible,Jyothi released Roopa.
Roopa’s parents withdrew the missing complaint worried that if the ‘abduction’ news spread it would bring them disrepute.
“Saying that there could be trouble if the news of the alleged kidnap was leaked, Roopa’s parents withdrew the complaint and requested the police not to disclose the matter, especially to the media,” sources added.
However, police confirmed that a missing complaint had been lodged in the Madiwala police station on Saturday and it has been withdrawn.
