Mumbai, Jul 26: Kerala’s famous temple Sri Padmanabhaswami temple, which has become the richest temple in the country, is going to be shifted in Mumbai. Don’t be shocked. The replica of the temple will be built in the dream city during the upcoming Ganesha festival.
An Andheri-based puja organisation, Andhericha Raja Sarvajnik Ganeshotsav Mandal decides to build Padmanabhaswamy’s replica with sand, the media reported on Tuesday, Jul 26.
The daily also reported that the the temple replica would be placed opposite to the deity of Ganesha inside the pandal. The ten-day long Ganesha festival, which is mainly famous in Maharshtra, will be started from Sep 1.
Padmanabhaswami temple has emerged in the news with its crores of treasures and jewelleries found inside the hidden vaults.
A new post-superintendent of police has been created by the Kerala government to guard the treasure trove estimated to be at Rs 1 lakh crore in the temple which is situated in Thiruvananthapuram.
