Bin Laden, al-Qaeda helped the world unite with USA ?

Washington, Sep 11: It’s the 10th anniversary of the ghastly terror attack that had demolished the entire World Trade Center (WTC) on Sep 11, 2001. al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden was the mastermind behind the terror attack. The world cursed him and most of the people rejoiced when Barack Obama’s men assassinated him (Laden). However, many still ask – didn’t Laden and his terror acts actually help to unite the world with US to fight against terrorism?

After the brutal attack, which killed almost 3,000 people from 90 different nations, people from all corners of the world merged their hands together against terrorism. The massive hunts for Laden and other top terrorist leaders, initiated by USA,  received aides and support from almost all corners of the world.

US president, Obama also claimed that the world came together as one ten years ago. The president also has been quoted as saying, “People offered their prayers in churches, mosques, synagogues and other places of worship.”

also quoted Obama as stating, “…those of us in the United States will never forget how people in every corner of the world stood with us in solidarity in candlelight vigils and among the seas of flowers placed at our embassies.”

Addressing the world on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attack, Obama said, “We remember that in the weeks after 9/11, we acted as an international community.”

“As part of a broad coalition, we drove al-Qaida from its training camps in Afghanistan, toppled the Taliban, and gave the Afghan people a chance to live free from terror. However, the years that followed were difficult and the spirit of global partnership we felt after 9/11 frayed,” added the president.
