Goa’s Tourism Minister Micky Pacheco has been directed to appear before a lower court on Monday over a complaint filed by his estranged wife Sara under the Domestic Violence Act. A summons was issued by the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao on Friday.
The Minister, known for his brash and impolite manner, is tangled in a web of domestic disputes with his wife, and their very public exchange of accusations has turned into a huge embarrassment to the Nationalist Congress Party.
Earlier this week the police registered a case against him and attached a Mitsubishi Lancer his wife alleged was sold with her signature forged on the documents.
