New Delhi, Jul 24: A woman from the Motia Khan Area LIG Flats, Paharganj’s has left the whole city in shock after she threw her 5-month-old son in water tank.
According to eyewitnesses, the 36-year-old woman threw her child in a water tank before performing black magic- a claim police rejected. The police are still clueless on how the whole incident took place.
Investigations reveal that the child could have possibly slipped out of the mother’s hand and died.
“We have not been able to identify the woman. The only thing that she has repeatedly claimed is the child is her own. We are going to consult a doctor and opt for a DNA test to ascertain if she is the child’s mother. We have sent the woman to IBHAS at Dishad Garden where she will undergo treatment for mental illness,” said Vivek Kishore, DCP (central).
