Successor for Yeddyurappa ?

Bangalore, Jul 25: K’taka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa after returning back to home city Bangalore, stayed defiant to all the allegations against him. Yeddyurappa, who was holydaying in Mauritius returned to Bangalore on Monday,Jul 25 morning.

Yeddyurappa said that he would seek PM’s intervention in phone tapping allegations. He further added that he would clear his stand at 4.30 pm on Jul 25. The BJP on other hand cleared the fact that there is no question of looking for Yeddyurappa’s successor following the mounting pressure on the party over Yeddy’s resignation.

“Even now, it’s not too late. I am going to request the Prime Minister (Manmohan Singh) to send one important team to inquire into the phone-tapping”, he said. “Our party and me do not have such a character to do this unpardonable crime (phone-tapping)”, Yeddyurappa said.

Lokayukta Chief, Santosh Hegde expressed disappointment over the phone tapping issue. He would submit the Lokayukta report on wednesday, Jul 27. Earlier, Hegde has clearly charged Yeddyurappa for his alleged role in the mining issue as indicted by the reports.
